The current study deals with the impact of the employee motivation on the performance of an organisation. The researcher have taken Sainsbury as the chosen firm for the current study. The entire research has been divided into six chapters. In the Introduction chapter, the researcher has discussed about the background of the study and also a brief description of the chosen organisation has also been provided. The historical aspects and the changes in the legislation regarding the concerned topic have also been highlighted in the current study. The research aims and objectives have also been highlighted in the current chapter. In the literature review chapter, the researcher has discussed the contemporary theories on motivation. The current strategies of the firm to motivate the employees and suggestions to improve the approaches have also been discussed under this chapter. The research methodology chapter deals with the research paradigms and the data analysis process that has been followed by the researcher for the current study. In the fourth chapter the researcher has represented the responses of the employees with the help of the tables and charts. In the fifth chapter, the researcher has analysed the responses of the staffs and the feedback of the managers have also been analysed in this chapter. Finally, in the last chapter, the researcher has concluded the study by performing the linking with the objectives. Moreover, suitable recommendations gave also been given to improve the current motivational approaches of Sainsbury.
