IntroductionCrime is a very contested as well as a complex concept in the process of which an act is carried out which is either against the law or an act which is morally not right. This could have an adverse impact on an individual as well as on any of the social groups better known as communities. If we have to look at a narrower point of view, then a crime can be termed as a violation of the law defined in the papers termed as criminology (Alder et al 2001).
It could be as simple as a breach of a code in any organization, community or any other place where the guidelines expect the persons of that community to maintain peace and follow the basic codes among them. However, it can be considered that not all of the law breaches are identified as a crime. For an instance, not stopping the car at the light which is displaying the sign to stop generally results in a fine. However, this would not lead to an imprisonment. In the same situation if an individual is driving a car at an uncontrollable speed and suddenly sees some children running down the road might lead to an accident, which would result in a heavy fine and imprisonment as the condition of the child hurt would determine the term of imprisonment (Alder et al 2001).
