a) Assume M = 4, a reference signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver input 20.25 dB, b = 4 bits for quantization and a signal-to-quantization noise ratio  Determine the signal-to-noise ratio, in dB, relative to the PCM transmission of a(t).
b) If the systems makes use of 100 identical regenerative repeaters with M-PAM (M = 4) and each section is characterized by the same value of as in the previous point, compute the signal-to-noise ratio, in dB, relative to the PCM transmission of a(t).
c) Assuming that PCM uses 16 level quantization, discuss if there exists a PAM format that allows to use the channel with a minimum bandwidth of 2 kHz.
