1. Do you think bedside rationing by physicians is considered unethical or ethical and why?
2. If physicians are trained and required to do everything they believe may benefit the patient without regard to costs or other societal considerations then why would healthcare providers including doctors accept this practice of rationing of care?
3. Because we cannot overlook costs particularly in healthcare, is it a reasonable argument to make that costs matters when resources are limited and that some patients will get the treatment will others will not due to rationing of care at the bedside?
