San Diego State University Appeal Letter Composition

Here is my situation, I am a transfer student from Glendale Community College AZ and i am majoring in Computer Science. Recently, I went to San Diego State University to check my application status for acceptance found out was denied. The admision refer to me to write an appeal letter. She mentioned to me why you want to join this university? what is the purpose?… etc. Please help!
