Philosophy of Language Argumentative Paper

The three readings will be attached.

Write an argumentative paper that tackles the question of how the reference of a proper name (such as ‘Aristotle’) is determined. You can argue in favour of a particular view and against its competitors, or just against a particular view. The important thing is the selection and presentation of the arguments. It is suggested that you draw on some combination of Strawson & Donnellan (it is perfectly appropriate to be selective and, say, just discuss Donnellan’s arguments against the PID).

3 pages MLA FORMAT Include a bibliography of works cited, and in-line citations wherever you quote or paraphrase the writings of another person.

The pdf labeled names is notes from a professor. Use as reference to write but don’t use in the paper.
