you should where you are describing this (the section on corruption as an example) explain exactly what research you conducted -i.e. identified the poorest countries via World Bank data, then looked at corruption index – Then present the research – perhaps via a table or graph to accompany what you are explaining.
Where you are utilzing lit review, secondary research include a bit more detail to really explain the authors’ findings.
