Romeo and Juliet, One-Pager
For next week, read the text of Romeo and Juliet.
Choose two passages from different points in the play that you see are connected by what characters say. For example, you could look for passages where they talk about “light” or premonitions of death or what the “stars” say. There are many such possibilities.
Copy your passages into a Word document. Note in what Act and scene they appear.
Then write a paragraph of 5-6 sentences in which you use “close reading” to explain the connection. “Close reading” means you make reference to the actual language in the passages.
