- For many Americans, the 1960s was both a time of struggle and progress. Use a minimum of three sources that we discussed in class to describe some the most significant issues that the United States faced as a nation from 1960 to 1969, and how the American public responded to them. Be sure to include key leaders, events, and major conflicts, as well as some of the specific efforts that Americans put forth in hopes of making a change.
